Below are some top news stories of the day, involving Mick Foley and Triple H.
• Mick Foley made a surprise return to the ring at the OVW Nightmare Rumble on Saturday night, appearing as his iconic persona, Dude Love.
During the event, Foley used his signature Mr. Socko to eliminate a competitor, while fellow WWE Hall of Famer JBL provided commentary.
Foley’s involvement in OVW is not new, as he has a longstanding friendship with OVW booker Al Snow. Dude Love is one of Foley’s famous personas from the Attitude Era, alongside Cactus Jack and Mankind.
Previously, Foley had considered participating in a Death Match as motivation to get back in shape, but ultimately decided against it due to health concerns, including an undiagnosed concussion.

• Before it was announced that RAW will be moving to Netflix in 2025, there were rumors that WWE was discussing the idea of moving RAW off Mondays, to avoid competing with Monday Night Football.
During an interview on the SI Media podcast, Triple H confirmed that there were discussions about moving RAW to another night, but in the end, WWE management decided that it was best to stay on Monday nights.
Here’s what HHH said about this decision:
“One of the things working best in WWE with the team of Nick (Khan), Lee Fitting, and many others, we’re all looking at what is the best way to do it. Forget what we have and what’s on the table. Let’s look at it with fresh eyes and say, ‘If we were building this ground up, what would we do and how would we do it?’ Take all the things we know and factor in the whys and hows.
Monday night was contemplated. Is that a move off of Monday? Is it stay on Monday? It’s also a 30-plus-year tradition. You have to factor that in. Plus, the business model and everything else.
I’m a big believer that you can work around all of those things. We weighed all of it out, as we always do, with the partners and ourselves, and we determined what was best and what was best was staying on Monday.
You can move and understand the global nature of WWE and Netflix. Yes, Monday is NFL, but that is not a factor in a lot of the world. There were a lot of factors heavily weighed.”
