Below are some top news stories of the day, involving MJF and Hulk Hogan.

• AEW star MJF paid homage to Triple H during his return from injury at the Double Or Nothing 2024 PPV. MJF returned after nearly 5 months, wearing a blue/black jean jacket reminiscent of Triple H’s iconic return at Madison Square Garden in 2002 following his own injury.

Reflecting on his decision, MJF said the following about this during an interview with WrestleTalk:

“Oh, my god. The greatest ever! When I was a kid… so, I was born in ’96, so I vividly remember [Triple H’s return from injury at Madison Square Garden]. That was my arena as a kid, and I thought, ‘All right. I’m returning from a serious injury’.

Every other f**king mark/nerd in wrestling does cosplay gear, and I was like, I’m gonna do it one time, and one time only. I put my own spin on it. I put Burberry all over it, MJF, my lion.

But, yeah, it was a bit of an homage, for sure. That was my childhood.”

• 2-Time WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan once claimed that he wrestled “400 days a year” due to time zone differences.

In his book My Life Outside the Ring, Hogan wrote the following:

“If I say I wrestled 400 days a year, it’s no exaggeration. My years were actually longer than 365 days.”

The Hulkster suggests that by working in both the United States and Japan, he gained extra hours and days. He cites an example of wrestling in Madison Square Garden, then flying to Tokyo for a match on the same day, gaining 14 hours, and returning to the U.S. for another show, leading him to believe he was “constantly adding days” to his years.

However, Hogan appears to misunderstand how time zones work. While traveling across time zones may change the clock, it does not actually add days to the year.

Upon returning to the United States, any gained hours would be lost, making his claim of wrestling 400 days in a year not only improbable but also mathematically impossible.
