The 200th episode of AEW Dynamite was surely an eventful one, which ended with Hikaru Shida winning her second AEW Women’s World Championship by defeating Toni Storm (tap here for complete results).
After the show went off air, AEW World Champion MJF came out to cut an interesting promo during the 200 episodes celebration untelevised segment.
In his promo, MJF mentioned that before AEW came into existence, WWE was the only player in town which was making money. He recalled that WWE was interested in signing him, but he held out and joined up with visionaries who would let him be who he wanted to be.
MJF then thanked AEW President Tony Khan for making him a rich man in 2024.
MJF’s AEW contract is set to expire in 2024 and there’s a possibility that he signed a contract extension with AEW for a bigger amount of money as he hinted in his promo.
This could also be MJF just subtly asking Khan to prepare a big money contract for him next year, as nothing is confirmed yet.
After MJF’s promo, the entire AEW roster came out to thank Tony Khan. Chris Jericho said they wouldn’t be celebrating 200 episodes of Dynamite without Khan’s vision.
A thank you to @TonyKhan from the World Champion @The_MJF and the entire @AEW roster….
