Below are a couple of WrestleMania 41 news stories, featuring The Rock and John Cena.

• Following WrestleMania 40, fans anticipated that The Rock would face Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41. This buzz increased when Rock made a surprise appearance after the Bad Blood main event, in which Rhodes and Roman Reigns defeated Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu.

Although it was reported that Rock wasn’t set for WrestleMania 41 in April and had indicated he wouldn’t be able to do the match, Rock replied in an Instagram comment on his post, saying, “Don’t believe any of that bullsh*t.”

According to WrestleVotes, plans for The Rock to wrestle at WrestleMania 41 are still on the table. Fightful noted that WWE remains a priority for The Rock, and he’s expected to appear occasionally.

The Wrestling Observer reports that there’s no official word on The Rock appearing on RAW’s debut on Netflix. Regarding his WrestleMania 41 status, they reported:

“We’re told again that he’s not committed at this point. Obviously if he wants to and feels he can do so, he’ll be doing it. It’s totally up to him. But in checking with two people who would both almost have to know about the Mania main event, one said that there is nothing set and the other said Johnson is not scheduled.”

The Final Boss is currently focused on upcoming releases for “Red One” and “Moana 2”.

• Fans have high hopes for John Cena’s WWE retirement tour, which is set to begin next year.

The former ‘Face of WWE’ plans to wrestle throughout 2025, aiming for 36 dates with the company and will also appear on Netflix’s first RAW.

Speculation is building around whether Cena might break the World Title record—currently tied between him and Ric Flair at 16 reigns—to become a 17-time World Champion.

The Wrestling Observer reports that WWE has discussed this idea for WrestleMania 41:

“We do know that the idea of Cena challenging one of the two champions, in an effort to have him break Flair’s record is something strongly talked about, including for Mania.”
