Below are some top WWE news stories of the day:

– As seen on last night’s episode of SmackDown, Triple H gave Roman Reigns the new Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, thus retiring the previous WWE Championship belt and the Universal Championship belt.

According to Xero News, Triple H will soon introduce the new Women’s Championships and both these titles will get new names too.

Word going on is that Triple H plans to remove the “RAW” and “SmackDown” names from the Titles, so there’s no issue when the champions get drafted to different brands.

Right now, SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley is a part of RAW and RAW Women’s Champion Asuka is a part of SmackDown.

– Last night’s SmackDown kicked off with Michael Cole & Wade Barrett announcing that we’re going to celebrate Roman Reigns.

A video package was shown for Roman’s 1,000 day reign as champion and graphics for all the men that he has surpassed was shown.

They even showed CM Punk’s 434-day reign as WWE Champion:

– After last night’s SmackDown went off the air, Cody Rhodes defeated The Miz in the dark main event. Both Cody & Miz are from the RAW brand.
