Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, involving Mustafa Ali and a decision before WrestleMania 40.

• Former WWE Superstar Mustafa Ali is set to make his return to the independent wrestling scene in 2024 after becoming a free agent a few days back.

Ali has been announced to wrestle for various companies at the beginning of 2024.

Additionally, he has launched the “Mustafa Ali World Tour 2024” and released a video on Twitter, expressing his intent to reclaim the independent wrestling scene from individuals he perceives as greedy stars monopolizing opportunities for themselves.

You can watch it below:

As of this writing, his confirmed appearances include GCW No Compadre in Chicago on January 12, where he will face Gringo Loco.

He is also scheduled for PROGRESS Wrestling’s “Light of the Dragon” on January 28, Dreamwave Wrestling’s “Run This Town” on February 10 (where he will face AAA Mega Champion El Hijo Del Vikingo, Gringo Loco and Penta El Zero Miedo in a Fatal 4-Way match), and a match against Speedball Mike Bailey at Prestige Wrestling on February 25.

• The RAW & SmackDown Tag Team Titles were unified in 2022, when The Usos defeated RK-BRO (Randy Orton & Matt Riddle) on an episode of SmackDown.

The Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship is currently held by Finn Balor & Mr. Money In The Bank Damian Priest of The Judgment Day.

This is their second reign with the Titles, as they lost the titles to Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso, but won them back later.

According to insider source BWE, there have been discussions about splitting the Tag Team Championship on the road to WrestleMania 40.

It looked like WWE was going to split the Tag Team Titles earlier this year, as The Usos defended the RAW & SmackDown Tag Team Titles separately for a while before WrestleMania 39 (despite being the Unified/Undisputed champions), but that didn’t last long.
