Brian Last claimed on Jim Cornette’s podcast that Chris Jericho was knocked out on his own Cruise in 2020.

Here’s what Brian said:

“Man, there is a story I would love to tell, but I didn’t get permission, but him getting knocked out on his own cruise ship by someone he mouthed off to. It’s the most incredible f**king story, but I can’t talk about that today.”

Bodyslam later reported that it was former WWE United States Champion MVP who allegedly knocked out Y2J:

“The incident took place during Chris Jericho’s Rock N’ Wrestling Rager At Sea – Part Deux: Second Wave, back in January 2020.

During the cruise there was an altercation between Jericho and former WWE US and Tag Champion MVP, where heated words were exchanged that resulted in MVP knocking out Chris Jericho.”

After this story came out, MVP tweeted the following:

“Heard any good rumors lately?”

When the 2020 United States Presidential election results were about to come out, Jericho tweeted the following:

“I’m not a political person, but is it strange to anybody else, that for the first time ever, we have to wait a day…2 days…5 days…10 days…to find out who won the the presidential race?”

MVP didn’t like Jericho’s tweet and replied:

“Delete this. ”

Jericho then blocked MVP on Twitter.

A couple of years later, MVP confronted Jericho after the May 18, 2022 episode of AEW Dynamite in Houston, Texas (where MVP lives), at the hotel where the wrestlers were staying.

Here’s what the Wrestling Observer reported about this situation:

“Jericho was talking to Matt Hardy and MVP showed up. Most people didn’t know what was up and thought he was kidding around until it became clear he wasn’t kidding.

Nothing bad happened even though it was a tense situation.

Jericho did tell him that he doesn’t fight jobbers when he got in the elevator and MVP was screaming about it in the lobby.”
