Below are a couple of top AEW & WWE news stories of the day, featuring MVP and Jade Cargill.
• During the AEW Full Gear media scrum, MVP, representing The Hurt Syndicate, stole the show not for wrestling but for his fiery demeanor and sharp responses to journalists.
Following Bobby Lashley’s dominant victory over Swerve Strickland in the co-main event, where Swerve passed out in The Hurt Lock, MVP made it clear he wasn’t tolerating questions or credentials he found lacking.
The drama began when a journalist asked Lashley about his motivation. MVP cut in, saying, “Bobby, that’s a dumba$$ question, man. Don’t answer that sh*t.” The blunt response left the room stunned.
The tension escalated when a reporter from The Believe Network tried to ask a question. MVP immediately challenged them, asking, “Do you have a journalism degree? From where?” When the reporter revealed they graduated from Full Sail University, MVP reluctantly let them proceed but made his disdain for “pretenders” evident.
Another journalist from The Wrestling Observer attempted to ask a question, but MVP shut it down completely, declaring, “No, we don’t entertain any questions from that nerd.”
