All Elite Wrestling taped this Saturday’s episode of AEW Collision (final show before All In) at the Gas South Arena in Duluth, Georgia, after the Fyter Fest special episode of Dynamite tonight.
The first match taped was the main event, which was an All In All Star 8-Man Tag Team match between the team of “Real” AEW World Champion CM Punk, Sting, Darby Allin & HOOK and the team of Jay White, Swerve Strickland, TNT Champion Luchasaurus and Brian Cage.
ROH TV Champion Samoa Joe was on commentary for the match. Punk’s team won the match. After the match, Punk and Joe got into a brawl.
Punk took the microphone after the brawl to pay homage to WWE Hall of Famer Terry Funk, who passed away earlier today.
Punk thanked the fans for staying after Dynamite to attend the Collision taping. He then said that the reason why he’s wrestling today and maybe the reason why Sting and Darby Allin are wrestling today is Terry Funk.
He went on to say that pro wrestling lost a giant today and his heart is heavy due to Funk’s demise, but he can still smile as Sting is still alive.
He also said that there are a lot of other legends who are also still in this world, and paid respect to them for paving the way.
