• “My talent was not being valued in AEW” – Former Tag Team Champion
On the October 30th 2019 episode of Dynamite, Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky of SCU became the inaugural AEW World Tag Team Champions.
After SCU disbanded in 2021, AEW began using Frankie as a veteran who regularly puts over younger talent.
Frankie later left All Elite Wrestling and returned to IMPACT Wrestling.
During an interview with Eric Bischoff, Kazarian explained why he left Tony Khan’s promotion.
Below is what the former 5-time TNA X-Division Champion said:
“I wanted to give that time to somebody that would value it. I felt at the time in AEW, my time, my contributions, and my talent was not being valued and that’s okay because I had the opportunity to take my time and give it to somebody else and that’s exactly what I did.
I’m not a guy that’s wired to sit on the bench, you know? I’m a guy that should be in the starting lineup.
It’s not being egotistical to say that because it’s true and I proved that.”
