On this day in Pro Wrestling history on August 9, 1997, Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling aired ‘WCW Road Wild 1997’ LIVE on PPV from the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis, South Dakota.
This was the second out of a total of 4 annual WCW events (1996-1999) from the Sturgis Harley Davidson Rally. While all four events are usually destroyed by the critics for not drawing a cent in revenue money because it was totally free for the bikers in attendance, they were still pretty cool & entertaining to watch for a fan, as big outdoor events always had that kind of a special feeling to them.

• Natalya Comments On Rumors Of Tyson Kidd Returning To The Ring
We noted earlier that former WWE wrestler Tyson Kidd, who now works as a Producer for the company, recently got back into the ring and did some training.
His wife, Natalya, posted a video of him running the ropes, which sparked rumors of him coming out of retirement. She later deleted the post from her Instagram account.

Natalya later acknowledged the video and commented the following about it on Twitter.
“Being in a ring is what is in our DNA, it is what makes us tick. Once it’s in you, it never leaves you. Even with massive limitations – it never leaves you.”
There wasn’t a clear message in Natalya’s tweet, but you can never say never in pro-wrestling.
