Below are the results from tonight’s go-home episode of SmackDown for WWE Backlash, which featured John Cena, Randy Orton, Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair & more.
– LA Knight & Damian Priest def. Solo Sikoa & United States Champion Jacob Fatu
Knight pinned Sikoa. Priest and Knight brawled after the match and Fatu laid them out. Drew McIntyre then showed up and laid out Fatu with the Claymore Kick and then posed with the US Title.
– R-Truth told Jimmy Uso that he will always root for his childhood hero John Cena, and was waiting for Cena to arrive with a “Let’s Go Cena” sign.
– Drew McIntyre was asked about his attack on Jacob Fatu and took the opportunity to first criticize Damian Priest, claiming Priest doesn’t deserve a spot in the Fatal 4-Way match at Backlash. Regarding Fatu, McIntyre said Fatu is all “gas and no brakes,” which might sound impressive, but eventually, that kind of recklessness meets a dead end — and that end, McIntyre said, is the next United States Champion.
– In a vignette, Aleister Black reflected on having buried the man who “spoke in riddles,” saying that through that process he uncovered the truth: his purpose is to return to WWE to deliver consequences. He made it clear that he’s here to challenge opponents on both a physical and psychological level — and right now, he hasn’t quite figured out Carmelo Hayes.
– Chelsea Green mourned the loss of her Women’s United States Championship in Nick Aldis’ office. Zelina Vega interrupted and set up a tag team match.
Zelina’s mystery partner was later revealed to be Alexa Bliss, who returned after a two month hiatus.

– Alexa Bliss & Women’s United States Champion Zelina Vega def. Chelsea Green & Piper Niven
– Santos Escobar, Angel & Berto attacked Rey Fenix backstage.
– Charlotte Flair returned for the first time since WrestleMania 41 and said she is back on the road to becoming WWE Women’s Champion, and declared she is The Greatest of All Time. The fans booed her. Charlotte got upset and said she will give them one more chance to show her respect, or else she will leave. Fans booed and Charlotte left frustrated. Jade Cargill came out and told Charlotte she already had her chance and lost, and now it’s time for her to get to the back of the line.
– As Charlotte Flair was leaving the arena, she was stopped backstage by Alexa Bliss. Bliss said, “let’s chat.”
– Nia Jax def. Jade Cargill to become the #1 Contender for the WWE Women’s Championship
Jade got distracted after Naomi attacked Tiffany Stratton at ringside.
– Axiom & Nathan Frazer challenged The Street Profits to a match for the WWE Tag Team Titles. The Street Profits declined and said they’ve only been on SmackDown for 3 weeks and they need to earn one. Nick Aldis came out and booked them in a non-title match.
– Fraxiom (Nathan Frazer & Axiom) def. WWE Tag Team Champions The Street Profits in a non-title match
– WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton was searching for Naomi backstage. Nia Jax interrupted and told Tiffany to worry about her instead of Naomi.
– The Miz hyped up Carmelo Hayes as the 10th Wonder of the World.
– Aleister Black def. Carmelo Hayes
Hayes accidentally punched Miz during the ending moments of the match, before Black rolled him up for the win. Miz tried to attack Black after the match, but got laid out with the Black Mass.
– Solo Sikoa told United States Champion Jacob Fatu that they need a game plan. Jacob disagreed and said he’s going to dog walk his opponents at Backlash tomorrow night.
– Fraxiom and Motor City Machine Guns were talking backstage and they got attacked by #DIY.
– Andrade & Rey Fenix def. Los Garza (Angel & Berto)
After the match, Santos Escobar shouted at Berto for getting pinned. Berto left the ring and it looked like he has left Legado Del Fantasma.

– John Cena addressed Randy Orton ahead of their Undisputed WWE Championship match at Backlash. Cena said tomorrow he will face Orton for the last time, and tomorrow your childhood will die when he defeats Randy and retains the Title.
Cena said Randy only has a job in WWE because of his family ties, and calls Randy a lazy boy. John said he is the Greatest of All Time, and Randy is the Greatest of All Time at doing the bare minimum. John said Randy will leave Backlash like his 2006 drug test – a failure.

A man in a black mask went for an RKO on John, but he countered and took him out with an Attitude Adjustment. The real Randy came out from behind and took out Cena with an RKO.
