Tonight’s WWE SummerSlam 2024 premium live event took place at the Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio. This is the 37th annual SummerSlam. The main PLE show kicked off with Triple H welcoming the fans and a performance by Jelly Roll, who performed his song “Liar”.

The first match of the night is Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World Championship. During the match, Rhea dislocated her shoulder (storyline wise) and popped it back in. Liv brought a steel chair to the ring, but couldn’t use it. Rhea tried to use it on Liv, but Dominik Mysterio stopped it as Rhea can’t win the Title via DQ.

Morgan took advantage and dropkicked Rhea into Dominik and hit her finisher on Rhea, but Rhea kicked out. Dominik then distracted the referee, allowing Liv to hit her finisher on Rhea on a steel chair this time for the win!

Dominik made out with Liv after the match and left with her, as an angry, heartbroken Rhea looked on.

Damian Priest was pissed about this and got mad at Judgment Day members backstage, asking them who knew about this and where that little prick is.

Up next is the Intercontinental Championship match. After fast back & forth action, Breakker delivered 2 spears to put Sami away to win his first title on the WWE main roster.

Up next is the United States Championship match between Logan Paul and LA Knight. Rapper Machine Gun Kelly accompanied Logan to the ring for this match. Logan and LA brawled with each other at ringside before the match could officially begin.

During the match, Logan hit LA with the knockout punch, but LA still kicked out. Knight attacked Logan’s friends at ringside. Logan intervened and sent LA shoulder-first into the steel ring post. MGK then passed brass knuckles to Logan. Logan punched LA with the brass knuckles. However, Knight still managed to put him away with the BFT!

Up next is the WWE Women’s Championship match between Bayley and Queen of the Ring Nia Jax.

After back & forth action, Bayley hit Nia with a powerbomb and flying elbow drop, but Nia kicked out. Tiffany Stratton then ran out to cash-in her Money In The Bank contract, but Bayley laid her out.

Nia then hit Bayley with 2 powerbombs and 2 Annihilators for the win.

Up next is CM Punk’s first televised singles match in WWE in over 10 years. Special Guest Referee Seth Rollins came out first, followed by Drew McIntyre and then CM Punk.

Punk took his sweatshirt off and threw it on top of Rollins. Rollins then wiped his a$$ with it and threw it out of the ring. The match begins and both men are beating the crap out of each other.

They are brawling outside and Rollins isn’t counting. Fans are chanting “we want tables”. Drew brings a steel chair in the ring and was about to hit Punk with it, but Rollins stopped him. Drew shoved Seth and Seth was about to hit Drew with the chair, but Drew ducked and Seth almost hit Punk. Seth then threw the chair out of the ring and was disappointed in himself and looked away while Punk was trying to pin Drew. By the time Seth began counting, Drew kicked out.

Punk hit the flying elbow drop and then locked in the Anaconda Vice. Punk took his bracelet out of Drew’s arm. Drew hit Punk with the Claymore Kick and went for the cover, but Punk kicked out.

CM Punk picks Drew up for the GTS, but looks at Seth and isn’t happy that Seth is wearing his bracelet. Punk gets in Seth’s face and Drew hits Punk from behind and Punk crashes into Seth, sending him out of the ring. Punk hits McIntyre with the GTS and goes for the cover, but Seth isn’t there. Seth finally comes in and begins counting, but Drew kicks out.

Punk isn’t happy with Seth and they began arguing. Punk hits Rollins with the GTS and takes his bracelet back. Drew low-blows Punk and hits the Claymore Kick. Drew pins Punk for the win.

McIntyre took Punk’s bracelet and left with it.

Up next is the World Heavyweight Championship match between Damian Priest and King of the Ring Gunther.

After both men traded chops, Gunther began bleeding from his chest. After back & forth hard-hitting action, Finn Balor came out to show support for Priest. Gunther took out Balor with a kick to the face. This angered Priest and he got fired up.

Priest hit the Razor’s Edge, followed by the South of Heaven Chokeslam. Priest went for the cover, but Balor put Gunther’s leg on the bottom rope! Priest saw this during the replay on the big screen.

Priest went after Balor, but Gunther stopped him from behind and locked-in the Sleeper Hold. Priest got out of it and got his hands on Balor. Gunther powerbombs Priest and locks-in the Sleeper Hold again. Priest passes out.

The Miz and R-Truth came out to announce the SummerSlam attendance: 57,791. Austin Theory and Grayson Waller confronted them and they got taken out by Jelly Roll.

Up next is the main event of the evening and it is a Bloodline Rules Match for the Undisputed WWE Championship. Solo Sikoa makes his way out first, alone. This is Solo’s first singles PLE main event.

During his entrance, WWE Champion Cody Rhodes met Arn Anderson backstage. This was Arn’s return to WWE programming, as he left AEW recently. You can watch it below:

The match begins and fans are chanting “f**k you Solo” and “We want Roman”. After back & forth action, Cody hit Solo with the Cross Rhodes. Immediately after this, Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa attacked Cody. They put Solo on top Cody for the pin, but Cody kicked out.

Kevin Owens ran out to fight the Tongas. He superkicked Sikoa. However, the numbers game was too much. Randy Orton then came out to a huge pop and went after Tama and then RKOed Loa. Owens stunned Tama. Orton poweslammed Solo and Owens hit a Frog Splash. Cody hit Sikoa with the Cross Rhodes, but Sikoa kicked out.

Orton and Owens chased Tama and Loa out of the arena. Cody brings the steel ring steps into the ring and hit Solo in the head twice. Cody went for the 3rd time, but Solo speared Cody! Solo went for the cover, but Cody kicked out.

Solo set up Cody next to the steel ring steps in the corner and went for the hip attack, but Cody moved out of the way and Solo went a$$-first into the steps.

Cody hit Solo with 2 Cross Rhodes and was going for the third, but Jacob Fatu interfered and took out Cody. Jacob put Solo on top of Cody for the pin, but Cody kicked out at 2.5! Jacob takes Cody out of the ring and superkicks him. Jacob clears the announce table and hits a splash through the table with Cody on it from the top rope! Jacob is hurt and is not moving.

Solo takes Cody back into the ring. Solo hits a Splash on Cody and goes for the cover, but Rhodes kicks out. Solo is going for the Samoan Spike, but Cody just collapsed. Solo picks up Cody and hits a kick, followed by the Cody Cutter from the top rope!

ROMAN REIGNS’ MUSIC HITS! Roman comes out to a new theme song and Solo is worried. Roman runs into the ring and hits Solo with a Superman Punch, followed by a Spear!

Fans are chanting holy sh*t. Roman gives the nod to Cody and leaves. Cody hits the Cross Rhodes for the win.

Roman and Cody had a staredown after the match. Roman pointed at his new T-Shirt, that reads OTC – Original Tribal Chief. Solo screaming in anger as the PLE went off the air.
