• Jacob Fatu Reveals WWE’s Originally Planned Name For Him
During an interview with IGN, Jacob Fatu revealed that his original ring name in WWE was supposed to be Caesar Sikoa.
Fatu explained he was standing next to Triple H when they discussed his entrance music. Fatu said he didn’t even know his name yet. Triple H asked about the music, and Fatu replied he had no idea what his name would be. Triple H then turned and said, “You’re gonna be Jacob Fatu.”
The plan had been Caesar Sikoa. WWE even trademarked the name just days before his June 2024 debut on SmackDown as part of Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline.
Fans worried it might change his identity, but Triple H decided to keep his real name and known Samoan Werewolf persona from indie/MLW days.
• Dominik Mysterio Shows Nasty Cut After Last Night’s Match (Photos)
At last night’s WWE’s AAA Rey De Reyes (Week 1) event, Dominik Mysterio defeated El Hijo del Vikingo (with Omos and Dorian Roldán) in a No DQ match to retain the AAA Mega Championship.
Due to the stipulation of the match, Vikingo cannot challenge for the title as long as Dirty Dom is champion. Had Vikingo won, Mysterio would have had to leave AAA.

• WWE Wrestler Not Released After Last Night’s Loss
At last night’s WWE’s AAA Rey De Reyes (Week 1) event, El Grande Americano #2 (Ludwig Kaiser) defeated La Parka, Original El Grande Americano (Chad Gable), and Santos Escobar in a 4-Way Rey de Reyes tournament final to become the #1 contender for Dominik Mysterio’s AAA Mega Championship.
Fans pointed out this morning that Escobar is listed on WWE’s website’s Alumni Section after his loss at last night’s event. This began speculation that he’s gone from the company.
However, that’s not the case. Cory Hays of Bodyslam reported the following: “Santos Escobar might not have looked the best last night in the 4 way match but he’s still very much with WWE and is currently working a program with El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr.”
