• The R-Truth Controversy Resulted In Travis Scott’s Return Plan Being Canceled

Travis Scott was originally scheduled to return to WWE programming at Money In The Bank 2025, but the controversy surrounding R-Truth changed everything. According to WrestleVotes, WWE was deep into preparations for Scott’s involvement. Not only was the company set to feature him on the PLE, but they created special merchandise as well. Designs included Scott’s recognizable branding combined with the MITB logo, the PLE location, and the date. WWE expected Scott’s appearance to be a major selling point.

However, those plans came to a screeching halt thanks to unexpected backstage developments. Around the same time, R-Truth departed from the company, sparking an outpouring of support from fans who demanded his return. Amid the chaos, WWE reversed course and brought Truth back, but the sudden drama reportedly caused changes in the company’s creative direction.

While it’s unclear exactly how the R-Truth situation impacted the Travis Scott plans, WrestleVotes indicated the timeline overlapped, suggesting that the disruption contributed to WWE pulling the plug on Scott’s involvement. R-Truth returned in the main event of Money In The Bank and attacked John Cena.

WrestleVotes added that it is possible that Scott’s return could have been postponed to SummerSlam, where a rematch between John Cena and Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship is expected to main event.

• Top Star Wants To Leave AEW

After being a cornerstone of All Elite Wrestling’s women’s division since 2019, former Women’s World Champion Britt Baker has largely disappeared from AEW TV. Bodyslam reports that she’s actively seeking a release, but AEW officials have no plans to grant it. Britt’s last televised match took place on the November 13, 2024 edition of AEW Dynamite, where she scored a victory over Penelope Ford. At the time, she set up a teased feud with Serena Deeb, but that storyline was never followed up on.

Her absence has been long. AEW sources confirm she’s still under contract – signed through fall 2026 with possible extensions due to injury time – and is not slated for a comeback to television any time soon. During her hiatus, she filmed for Cobra Kai. Rumors have also swirled that friction backstage – ranging from tension in the locker room to incidents with other talent – added to her prolonged absence from AEW programming.

It appears Britt is preparing for life beyond wrestling, or at least beyond AEW’s active roster. Even as appearances like WrestleCon and filming roles occupy her time, her absence from TV continues. She wants out, but AEW is standing firm.
