As we noted before, SmackDown Live wrestler Shinsuke Nakamura was the latest betting favorite to win the Men’s Royal Rumble 2018 match. But that quickly changed and now a shocking name is the betting favorite to win the Men’s Royal Rumble 2018 match – retired WWE wrestler Daniel Bryan.

According to various betting sites, Bryan’s odds have jumped from 66-1 to 10-1.

Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer revealed that a WWE official pitched the idea of Bryan winning the Men’s Royal Rumble 2018 match and the word got out to other people in the company and they decided to place bets on Bryan winning the Royal Rumble 2018 match.

This resulted in the betting odds turning in Bryan’s favor.

For those who missed it, Bryan mentioned during a recent interview that he’d leave WWE if he doesn’t wrestle by WrestleMania 34.
