• “New Rey Mysterio” Has Arrived In WWE (Photo)
WWE’s newest signing Dragon Lee (the man who thinks he’ll be the ‘new Rey Mysterio’) appeared on tonight’s NXT Roadblock. He was shown in the crowd.
Below is what he tweeted about it:
“I just arrived.”
There were rumors that Shawn Michaels was going to introduce him as Grayson Waller’s opponent, but that didn’t happen. HBK introduced Johnny Gargano instead, while Lee got a regular NXT-style introduction while being seated in the crowd.
Lee (age 27) said the following when he signed with WWE:
“I think I can become the new Rey Mysterio in WWE. I just need the opportunity. [Finn Balor] told me, ‘Would you like to be in WWE?’ (laughs). I said, ‘Yeah, sure. Why not?’ It was something special for me. It’s my challenge to learn more about promos.
You will never finish learning in pro wrestling. But every time you wrestle, you learn. But about promos, it’s something new for me. I would like to learn something new, how to become not just a wrestler – an artist.”
Below are Dragon Lee’s accomplishments in pro-wrestling:
– 2x ROH TV Champion
– 2x ROH World Tag Team Champion
– 1x IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion
– 2x CMLL World Lightweight Champion
– 1x CMLL World Welterweight Champion
– 1x AAA Tag Team Champion
