As we saw at the Great Balls of Fire 2017, former two time NXT Champion Samoa Joe failed to defeat Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship. Ahead of tonight’s Raw (where Brock Lesnar will appear), WWE is teasing a possible rematch between Lesnar & Joe:

“Brock Lesnar remains the reigning, defending, undisputed Universal Champion — but Samoa Joe came very, very close to knocking The Conqueror off his perch and installing himself as the top dog on Team Red. Given that Joe does not take kindly to being denied, could The Samoan Submission Machine target Lesnar and attempt to keep himself in the title picture for SummerSlam? At Great Balls of Fire, Cesaro & Sheamus successfully retained their Raw Tag Team Titles over The Hardy Boyz in the first ever 30 minute Iron Man Match for the Tag Team Titles. WWE noted on their website that The Hardy Boyz are now out of the Title picture and new #1 contenders for the Raw Tag Team Titles might be crowned tonight on Raw:

“No shenanigans this time: Cesaro & Sheamus retained the Raw Tag Team Championship over The Hardy Boyz by winning a 30-Minute WWE Iron Man Tag Team Match (four falls to three). Now that “The Bar” has put Team Xtreme in their rearview, are there any red brand tandems with a claim to challenge them? And even if there are, do any of them stand a chance?”

UPDATE: After seeing what happened on Raw, it looks like Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson are next in-line for the Raw Tag Team Titles.
