Big Cass Says He Can Defeat Brock Lesnar & Is The Next Universal Champion

On the post-Great Balls of Fire 2017 edition of Raw Talk, Big Cass talked about how he thinks he can defeat Brock Lesnar and become the next Universal Champion. Below is what Big Cass said:

“If there’s anybody out there that can do it, it’s me. I think I can handle the Beast, I think I can go toe-to-toe with the Beast and I think I can beat the Beast. I think I can be the Universal Champion. Infact, I think I’m the next Universal Champion. Look at me, Renee. I’m 7 feet tall, that’s why.”

Did Austin Aries Really Ask For His Release From WWE?

In an update from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Austin Aries didn’t ask for his release from WWE and that it was WWE’s decision to release Aries. If it was Aries who quit the company, then this would’ve resulted in him not being able to wrestle anywhere until 2019 (as Aries signed a 3 year deal).

It is being said that Aries wasn’t happy about his WrestleMania 33 Kickoff match against Neville being excluded from the WrestleMania 33 DVD (thus not getting any royalty). Also, Aries had backstage heat and the writers didn’t like him. Aries will now serve the regular 90 days non-compete clause.
