• Newly Signed AEW Star Has Already Been Released
In a shocking turn of events, Trey Miguel has officially been released from All Elite Wrestling and has announced he is stepping away from the ring. The news comes just over a week after it was confirmed that all four members of The Rascalz – Miguel, Zachary Wentz, Dezmond Xavier, and Myron Reed – had signed multi-year deals with the promotion.
On January 18, Miguel posted a message to fans stating he is taking a break from professional wrestling, though he encouraged audiences to continue supporting the rest of The Rascalz:
“Taking a break from wrestling. Please respect my space and don’t tag me in any posts or comments. Go support The Rascalz still.”
Fightful Select confirmed shortly after that Miguel had been granted his release from his new AEW contract. While the specific reason for the sudden departure has not been disclosed, sources indicate that the split between AEW and Miguel remains amicable.
The signs of a change were visible when Miguel was notably absent from the AEW Collision taping. While the other three Rascalz appeared on the show, Miguel was not backstage for the filming. This quick exit marks a turbulent start to the year for Miguel, who had just finished a long-term stint with TNA Wrestling dating back to 2018.
Despite having worked several matches for WWE NXT in 2024 and 2025, Miguel had chosen the AEW path with his teammates before this unexpected hiatus.

• Cody Rhodes Reveals “Apology Gift” From Travis Scott Following Eardrum Injury
While Travis Scott’s venture into WWE ended on a sour note, Cody Rhodes has revealed a surprising behind-the-scenes peace offering from the rapper. In a recent TikTok video, Rhodes shared that Scott gifted him a pair of high-end designer shoes as an apology for an injury sustained at Elimination Chamber 2025.
The injury occurred when Scott was involved in John Cena’s high-profile heel turn. During the chaotic attack, a slap from Scott left Rhodes with a damaged eardrum. “He secretly gave (the shoes) to me after he slapped me in the ear, to make me feel better,” Rhodes explained. “He gave them to me because he blew my eardrums.”
Despite the “make-good” gift, the two remained rivals on-screen. Scott infamously interfered in the main event of WrestleMania 41, helping Cena defeat Rhodes for the WWE Title.
However, the partnership between Scott and WWE dissolved shortly after. The artist reportedly left the company on bad terms, leading WWE to scrap a planned Cena and Scott tag team for Money In The Bank 2025. Cena instead teamed with Logan Paul, while Scott vanished from WWE programming entirely.
