Nick Aldis Books Roman Reigns In A Match On Tonight’s SmackDown

Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, including an update on Roman Reigns.

• The opening match of tonight’s SmackDown was scheduled to be Cameron Grimes taking on Grayson Waller, but The Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa & Jimmy Uso attacked Cameron.

Paul Heyman then took the mic and called out the James Bond wannabe Nick Aldis for booking Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns in a Fatal 4-Way match at Royal Rumble 2024.

Aldis told Heyman that The Bloodline will be in tonight’s main event, which will be Randy Orton, AJ Styles & LA Knight taking on Roman, Jimmy & Solo.

Heyman told Aldis that The Tribal Chief is not here tonight. Aldis said they have time until the main event to find a 3rd partner.

In a backstage segment, it was shown that Jimmy is worried because he knows no one will team up with them. Heyman told him to not worry because he will find them a 3rd partner.

Jimmy asked Solo if he is worried. Solo said he is never worried.

• WWE is set to welcome back two prominent stars, Sheamus and Xavier Woods, who have been absent due to injuries.

According to the Wrestling Observer, both are anticipated to return in the coming weeks, with the possibility of making a surprise appearance at the Royal Rumble premium live event.

Woods has been on a break to recover from injuries, while Sheamus has been sidelined with a shoulder injury since his last match in August, where he lost to Edge.
