The long-running controversy surrounding Hulk Hogan’s infamous $ex tape has resurfaced. According to TMZ, Nick Hogan, acting on behalf of his father’s estate, has filed a federal lawsuit in Florida against radio personality Bubba the Love Sponge, seeking to prevent the release of a forthcoming documentary.
The film in question, titled “Video Killed The Radio Star: The Untold Story Of The Hulk Hogan $ex Tape Scandal,” is being promoted for release later this month. Bubba, whose real name is Todd Alan Clem, has claimed the project will reveal the behind-the-scenes details of how the scandal unfolded.
Nick Hogan argues the documentary relies on unauthorized use of copyrighted material and Hulk Hogan’s registered trademarks. The complaint specifically points to footage from the $ex tape itself, alleging that portions of the video were visible in a promotional trailer.
The lawsuit also cites a settlement agreement between Hulk Hogan and Bubba dating back to 2012, reached after the original tape became public. While details of that settlement remain sealed, Nick contends that the new documentary violates its terms.
In addition to halting distribution of the documentary, the filing requests unspecified damages related to the alleged misuse of Hogan’s intellectual property and likeness. Nick’s legal team is asking the court for immediate intervention to block the film from being released.

Sky Daily To Sue Doctors Over Hulk Hogan’s Death
The death of Hulk Hogan on July 24 continues to raise serious questions, and his widow Sky Daily is now preparing to take legal action. According to The Daily Mail, she is planning to sue at least one of the doctors who treated Hogan, focusing on what she believes were grave medical errors tied to a recent surgery.
The legal effort is expected to center on a neck procedure Hogan underwent just two months before his passing. Sky has maintained that the operation may have damaged his phrenic nerve, which plays a vital role in controlling breathing. She believes this complication directly contributed to his collapse at their Clearwater Beach home.
According to TMZ, accounts of the 911 call from that night suggest Hogan did not suffer a sudden heart attack. Instead, Sky reportedly told authorities her husband “just stopped breathing.” An occupational therapist who was present at the house also informed police about the possibility of nerve damage from the earlier surgery, further fueling suspicions of malpractice.
To bolster her case, Sky arranged for a private autopsy. Although its findings have not been released, the decision to move forward with a lawsuit strongly implies that the results raised red flags. Meanwhile, the Clearwater Police Department continues its own investigation, even as official paperwork from a medical examiner lists Hogan’s cause of death as a heart attack.
