WWE Night of Champions 2025 took place at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This was the 11th event under the Night of Champions banner. The show begins with the King of the Ring tournament final. Randy Orton comes out first. The fans are singing “Voices” out loud and Orton is hyped! Orton competed in the final of last year’s King of the Ring tournament as well, where he lost to Gunther. Cody Rhodes comes out next to a huge pop as well. The winner of this match will challenge for the Undisputed WWE Championship in the main event of SummerSlam 2025. Randy and Cody go one-on-one for the first time in 12 years and fans are chanting “RKO.” Orton hits Rhodes with a superplex from the top rope and it hurt Orton more than Cody, as Cody got up first and hit Orton with a Disaster Kick. Cody is now targeting Orton’s lower back. Cody hits the Cross Rhodes, but Orton kicks out. Orton hits the RKO, but Cody kicks out! Orton is looking to hit the Punt Kick on Cody, but hesitated. Orton eventually decided to do it, but Cody countered and locked in the Figure 4 Leg Lock, but Orton reversed it and then reached the bottom rope to break up the hold.

Randy and Cody exchange punches and headbutts. Cody goes for the Disaster Kick, but Orton hits an RKO! Orton goes for the cover, but Cody kicks out. Orton brings a steel chair into the ring and referee snatches it away. Orton exposes the top turnbuckle behind the referee’s back, but Cody sent Orton ribs-first into the exposed turnbuckle. Cody hits Orton with the Cross Rhodes for the win.

The American Nightmare has earned an Undisputed WWE Championship match at SummerSlam 2025. Cody showed respect to Randy after the match, but Randy looked pi$$ed, teasing a heel turn. Cody said he will get the WWE Title back at SummerSlam.

Up next is a Street Fight, where Rhea Ripley picked up the win against Raquel Rodriguez despite interference from new Judgment Day member Roxanne Perez. Mami wants the Women’s World Championship back.

Up next is Karrion Kross (with Scarlett) taking on Sami Zayn. This is Kross’ first singles PLE match after 3 years. His last singles PLE match was also in Saudi Arabia, against Drew McIntyre at Crown Jewel 2022. He lost that night in a Steel Cage match.

During the ending moments of the match, Kross was punishing Sami in the corner and was constantly telling him to say that Sami is a liar and that Kross told the truth. But Sami hit a Helluva Kick in the corner out of nowhere for the win.

Up next is the United States Championship match. Solo Sikoa came out first and he’s alone. U.S. Champion Jacob Fatu came out next. After back & forth action, JC Mateo came out to cause a distraction. This led to Tonga Loa returning from injury, as he attacked Fatu behind the referee’s back.

Hikuleo, making his official main roster debut, then interfered and chokeslammed Fatu on the announce table.

Sikoa hits the Samoan Spike for the win.

This is Sikoa’s first title win on the main roster.

Up next is the Queen of the Ring final, where Jade Cargill picked up the biggest win of her career as she defeated Asuka to earn a WWE Women’s Championship match against Tiffany Stratton at SummerSlam.

Cargill said a storm is coming for SummerSlam.

Up next is the main event of the evening and it is for the Undisputed WWE Championship. CM Punk makes his way out first, followed by John Cena. This is their 15th televised match against each other. They are 6-6, with 1 No Contest and 1 Draw. This is their 8th match for the WWE Championship.

After back & forth action, Cena just can’t put Punk away even after 3 Attitude Adjustments! Punk hits Cena with the GTS, but Cena kicks out as well. Cena accidentally knocks out the referee and Punk hits Cena with the GTS, but there’s no referee to count the pin. Punk is calling for a new referee, but Seth Rollins comes out with his entire faction. Fans are chanting for OTC. Rollins is looking to cash-in his Money In The Bank contract. He sends Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed after Punk. Punk sends both of them out of the ring, while the fans are chanting for The OTC. Bronson and Bron slam Punk through the announce table.

Rollins calls for the referee and Charles Robinson comes running out and Cena knocks him down. Cena argues with Rollins. Rollins was about to hit Cena with the MITB briefcase, but Cena hits the AA. Bronson and Breakker attack Cena, which leads to Penta coming out. Bron takes out Penta. Sami Zayn comes out and brawls with Breakker. Penta takes both of them out with a dive off the ramp.

Bronson was going for a Tsunami on Cena, but Punk pushes him off the top rope. Cena hits Bronson with an AA. Now we are back to Punk and Cena. Punk offers a handshake and Cena accepts. They hug, but Cena gives the camera that same look he gave when he turned heel. Cena goes for the low-blow, but Punk stops him. Rollins interfered again and hits Punk with a Stomp. Cena sent Rollins out of the ring and pinned Punk.
