Below are a couple of top news stories of the day, involving Nikki Bella and Damian Priest.
• This past Saturday, Nikki Bella aka Nikki Garcia was seen in public for the first time since her husband, Artem Chigvintsev, was arrested for felony domestic violence. The WWE Hall of Famer was spotted in Oakland, CA, boarding a private plane with a friend. Notably, she was no longer wearing her wedding ring.
Garcia appeared to be in good spirits, smiling and wearing a hat pulled low over her eyes. She went to Las Vegas to cohost Netflix’s live hotdog eating competition, “Chestnut vs. Kobayashi: Unfinished Beef”.

In an update, Nikki is reportedly planning to file for divorce from Artem. According to TMZ, she has been making calls about the filing since last Friday.
Artem is currently staying at a friend’s place, while Nikki remains at their family home with their 4-year-old son Matteo.
As previously reported, Chigvintsev called 911 claiming his wife threw shoes at him but later canceled the request for medical assistance. Despite this, police arrived an hour later and arrested him. He was released on $25,000 bail.

• Damian Priest missed out on a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” where he was considered for the part of Namor.
Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Priest implied that Vince McMahon blocked him from the role due to WWE’s policy at the time, which restricted talent from taking on outside projects not involving the company.
On the situation, Priest said, “It’s a long story, but basically it got taken away from me, but not from Marvel.” He also mentioned that he did secure a role, but it was ultimately removed.
Despite this, Priest is optimistic about getting another chance in Marvel, saying:
“It’d be cool, I’m ready. It’s funny because now I’m busier than ever. Look, come what may, I’m good with it. Maybe I do something like that, I do that and go a different route, and I’m not sitting here with you, being a World Champion. I won a World Championship at WrestleMania. I don’t know if that happens.”
