• “Not all good news” – Bad News About AEW Talent’s Health
WWF Legend & current AEW Commentator Jim Ross announced in October 2021 that he was diagnosed with skin cancer and was going to undergo treatment for it.
The legendary play-by-play commentator took to Twitter and shared some bad news about his current health status.
Among several other things, J.R. is currently still suffering from complications after his last chemotherapy.
Here’s what the WWF Legend tweeted:
“My first wound care appointment today lasted an eternity. Not all good news but nothing it can’t handle. I’m told I’m looking at 6 more months of healing.”

Legendary Old School Wrestling commentator Jim Ross is famous for his commentary roles in Bill Watt’s Mid-South Wrestling / UWF promotion (1977-1987), Jim Crockett Promotions / NWA / WCW (1987-1993) and the World Wrestling Federation / WWE (1993-2013).
Good Ol’ J.R. has also worked as the WWF/WWE Executive Vice President of Talent Relations for most of the Attitude Era and way into the Ruthless Aggression Era.
