NWA Hall of Famer Joyce Grable has passed away
Betty Wade-Murphy, better known to old school wrestling fans as Joyce Grable, has passed away at the age of 70.
Grable, a pioneer in professional wrestling, had a two-decade career from 1971 to 1991. She held titles in several NWA territories, including the NWA World Women’s Tag Team Championship on 6 occasions.
Grable was inducted into the NWA Hall of Fame, the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame and also the St. Louis Wrestling Hall of Fame. Her impact on women’s wrestling and the sport will continue to inspire future generations.
Pro Wrestling historian Roy Lucier tweeted the following about the passing of Joyce Grable:

The wrestling world mourns the loss of Joyce Grable, but also celebrates her enduring legacy.
