Tonight’s episode of WWE NXT from the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, featured the fallout from last Saturday’s No Mercy Premium Live Event and the build-up to next week’s special “Showdown” episode.
– Ricky Saints opened the show to celebrate his NXT Championship win at No Mercy. He was interrupted by NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne, who said that they needed to focus on TNA. Ava then announced Saints and Jayne as team captains for NXT. Santino Marella followed by naming Mike Santana and Kelani Jordan as team captains for TNA.
During the segment, Santino explained that “TNA vs. NXT Invasion” would now be called “TNA vs. NXT Showdown” as both brands have been working together for a while (tap here to know the real reason for the change).

– Je’Von Evans and Leon Slater were discussing their Bound For Glory match backstage. The Culling appeared and challenged them to a match later in the night.
– Lyra Valkyria gifted Tatum Paxley a “Lyra doll” backstage.
– Jaida Parker defeated Lash Legend.
– Ricky Saints was shown backstage. He chose Je’Von Evans for the Men’s Team NXT. Trick Williams appeared and declared himself co-captain. Saints and Williams then decided Josh Briggs and Myles Borne would face off to determine the final member of the team.
– Ethan Page was confronted by the returning Mustafa Ali, who said he had spoken to Ava and Santino. Ali announced he would face Page next week for the North American Championship, a match he had been denied two years ago due to his release from WWE.

– Jacy Jayne chose Jaida Parker and Sol Ruca for the Women’s Team NXT. She later revealed that Fallon Henley would face Lola Vice for the last spot on the team.
– A vignette aired in which The Hardy Boyz talked about their upcoming match against DarkState at TNA vs. NXT Showdown.
– Men’s Team NXT Qualifying Match: Myles Borne defeated Josh Briggs with some help from Matt Cardona.
– Jordynne Grace asked Kelani Jordan if she could join Team TNA because she didn’t trust Jacy Jayne. Kelani said she wasn’t sure about Grace or Joe Hendry’s position. Hendry appeared, but Mike Santana told him neither he nor Grace would be picked for TNA’s teams.
– Women’s Team NXT Qualifying Match: Lola Vice defeated Fallon Henley.
– A vignette aired in which DarkState discussed their match against The Hardy Boyz at TNA vs. NXT Showdown.
– Lainey Reid revealed herself as Jazmyn Nyx and Lola Vice’s attacker in a backstage segment with Fatal Influence. She said Nyx never belonged in Fatal Influence.
– Je’Von Evans and Leon Slater defeated The Culling. During the match, Izzi Dame snatched Tatum Paxley’s Lyra doll.
– TNA talent showed up in the parking lot with a Cybertruck and were confronted by NXT stars. Both sides made their way to the ring.
– NXT vs. TNA Summit: Team NXT and Team TNA were shown in the ring.
Jacy Jayne, Sol Ruca, Lola Vice and Jaida Parker were shown as Women’s Team NXT. Kelani Jordan, The IInspiration and Mara Sade were announced as Women’s Team TNA.
Ricky Saints, Je’Von Evans, Myles Borne and Trick Williams were shown as Men’s Team NXT. Mike Santana announced himself, Moose, Frankie Kazarian and Leon Slater as members of Team TNA.

The show closed with a brawl between both brands as Shawn Michaels looked on from the ramp.
