– Roxanne Perez & Lola Vice came face-to-face ahead of their NXT Women’s Title match at Heatwave. Roxanne said it’s a shame that Lola had to be in NXT during her Title run because she can’t dethrone her. Lola said she will show why she’s the greatest to crossover from MMA to WWE at Heatwave, and become the new champion. Lola was about to leave the ring, but turned around and took out a Security Guard with a Backfist.

– Shawn Michaels said over the past several months there have been many disturbances in NXT caused by Brooks Jensen (son of WWF Veteran Bull Buchanan). Shawn said after a split from his previous Tag Team with Josh Briggs, Brooks began to spiral downwards and was asked by NXT management to take a sabbatical to clear his head and to get himself together, but that ultimately didn’t happen so NXT management were forced to keep him away from Live Events and Television. Shawn said he could release Brooks if he wanted but he believes in second chances, and invited Brooks to NXT next week to speak to General Manager Ava and discuss his future.
– NXT Champion Trick Williams, Je’Von Evans, Ethan Page & Shawn Spears had a Contract Signing ahead of their Fatal 4-Way title match at Heatwave. A brawl broke out between all four of them. Trick slammed Ethan through a Table, and Evans slammed Spears through the other Table.
