After last night’s episode went off the air, WWE taped next week’s episode of NXT.
Fightful Select provided the following spoilers:
– NXT Champion Trick Williams’ promo was interrupted by The Meta-Four. Gallus then attacked Williams. Je’Von Evans tried to make the save for Trick, but failed.
– Dante Chen def. Lexis King
– Jaida Parker def. Brinley Reece to qualify for the NXT Women’s North American Title Ladder Match at the Battleground PLE
– Fallon Henley def. Thea Hail to qualify for the NXT Women’s North American Title Ladder Match at the Battleground PLE
– Joe Coffey replaced Ivar in the No.1 Contenders Triple Threat Match
– Wes Lee vs. Joe Coffey vs. Josh Briggs in a No. 1 Contenders Triple Threat Match ended with both Lee and Coffey being declared as winners
Due to this finish, Oba Femi will defend the NXT North American Championship against Wes Lee and Joe Coffey in a 3-way match at Battleground.
– Axiom & Nathan Frazer (c) def. Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo & Luca Crusifino to retain the NXT Tag Team Championship
The O.C. (Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson) and No Quarter Catch Crew interfered in this match.
– Natalya & Karmen Petrovic def. Shayna Baszler & Lola Vice
After the match, Lola betrayed Baszler and attacked her. However, Baszler got back up and choked out Vice. General Manager Ava (The Rock’s daughter) then booked Shayna vs. Lola in an NXT Underground match at the Battleground PLE.
