• Oba Femi Reveals The Advice John Cena Gave Him
During an interview on the No-Contest Wrestling Podcast, Oba Femi revealed the advice John Cena gave him:
“He’s very big on crowd interaction and ‘look at me’ moments. I don’t know if you’ve heard the story with him and, at the time, Cesaro, where he told Cesaro to go get the ball that was being thrown around in the audience and pop it.
So he was telling me… he told me that he understands that NXT is a very fast-paced style of wrestling because that’s what Shawn (Michaels) wants. But at the same time, he encouraged me that when the opponent is down, I should always take my time to interact with the crowd and do something that will be memorable to them so they can always remember me.
So that’s one of the things that John said to me that stuck. That was a pretty big one amongst many other things, but that was the big takeaway.”
• “Vince McMahon would have never done anything like this” – Hall Of Famer On WWE’s Current Issue
WrestleMania 42 ticket sales are struggling compared to last year due to high prices. WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long had the following to say about the ticket prices on the Road Trip After Hours podcast:
“The reason they can do it is because they’ve got the power and they’ve got the money to do it. These people already have money and power and they’re asking people to give them money when we’re in the worst economy of all time right now.
Jobs are not happening. Healthcare…just a whole lot of stuff is going on right now. People can’t even go…I swear, I hate to even go into Walmart now. It’s ridiculous the way the prices are and stuff.
How can you feed your family and then try to entertain them and go to this big event? You can’t do that. Your family is going to come first. I would hope so. I’m going to buy some food and stuff for my family before I go see anybody.
So I just don’t understand it. Vince McMahon would have never done anything like this. Vince would have figured a way out so that it would have come out and everybody would have made money. Everybody would have been happy, including all the fans too.”
