– Backstage, Ethan Page was shown complaining to Ava about being left off New Year’s Evil. Ava firmly reminded him that she’s in charge on NXT and expressed her anger over Je’Von Evans ending up with his jaw wired shut due to Page’s attack. The Rock then interrupted their conversation, reinforcing Ava’s authority and emphasizing that she was the one calling the shots. He told Page that if he wanted to stay on good terms with him, he needed to stay on good terms with Ava. Rock ended the conversation with Ethan by saying:

– Shotzi showed up to remind Ava that she pinned Fallon Henley and that she should be the #1 contender for the Women’s North American Championship. But Stephanie Vaquer also reminded Ava of the match she won tonight. Ava booked Shotzi vs. Stephanie for next week to determine Fallon’s challenger.
