On this day in Pro Wrestling history (April 2, 2022) World Wrestling Entertainment aired ‘WrestleMania 38 – Night 1’ (WrestleMania Saturday) LIVE on PPV (WWE Network) from the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas.

This was only the 3rd ever 2-night-event in WrestleMania history (since it first started in 1985).

Night 1 drew 77,899 fans to the stadium and featured WWF Legend Stone Cold Steve Austin coming out of retirement for one final match, which happened to take place in his homestate of Texas.

Drew McIntyre defeated Happy Corbin

The Miz & Logan Paul defeated Rey Mysterio & Dominik Mysterio

WWE Raw Women’s Championship: Bianca Belair defeated Becky Lynch (c)

Cody Rhodes defeated Seth Rollins

WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship: Charlotte Flair (c) defeated Ronda Rousey

No Holds Barred: Stone Cold Steve Austin defeated Kevin Owens
