Old School ECW Legend “The Innovator of Violence” Tommy Dreamer (Real name: Thomas Laughlin) celebrates his birthday today.

Literally no other Professional Wrestler is as synonymous with the 3 letters ECW, as “The Heart and Soul of ECW” Tommy Dreamer was and still is.

Tommy joined NWA Eastern Championship Wrestling in 1993 as a muscular pretty boy character, but soon after the promotion left the NWA in 1994 and became known as Extreme Championship Wrestling, he evolved into a Hardcore Wrestler.

He stayed with the legendary promotion till the very end in January 2001 and then joined the World Wrestling Federation a few months later.

Dreamer then wrestled for the WWF/WWE until 2010 and again for a few months in 2015 & 2016, but also worked for TNA/iMPACT Wrestling in 2010-2011, 2013-2015 and 2018-2019.

He also owns his own promotion ‘House of Hardcore’, that was named after ECW’s very own wrestling school, where Taz was the head-coach training all the students during the 90s.

Tommy is married to Old School ECW valet Beulah McGillicutty and together they have 2 daughters.

• Old School WWF Veteran Celebrates His Birthday

Old School WWF Veteran Sato (Real name: Akio Sato) celebrates his birthday today.

Akio Sato was Tanaka’s tag team partner in Mr. Fuji’s team ‘The Orient Express’ in 1990, before he was replaced with Kato (Paul Diamond under a mask).

He then returned to the World Wrestling Federation in 1995 as Hakushi’s manager Shinja, before leaving the promotion for good.

• Old School NWA Valet Celebrates Her Birthday

Legendary Old School NWA Valet “The Perfect 10” Baby Doll (Real name: Nickla Ann Roberts) celebrates her birthday today.

What Sensational Sherri has been for the World Wrestling Federation, Baby Doll was for Jim Crockett Promotions (among other territories).

She managed the likes of Tully Blanchard, Dusty Rhodes, Larry Zbyszko & The Warlord.

• Old School Wrestling Veteran Would Have Celebrated His Birthday

Today would have been the birthday of Old School Wrestling Veteran “King Kong” Angelo Mosca.

Angelo Mosca was a former CFL (Canadian Football League) Football player, who eventually became a Professional Wrestler in the off-season and later wrestled full time after his Football career ended in 1972.

Mosca wrestled for several territories in North America such as Calgary Stampede Wrestling, Georgia Championship Wrestling, Championship Wrestling from Florida, Jim Crockett Promotions, the World Wrestling Federation, … among many others.

He also worked as a color commentator for the World Wrestling Federation in Canada (WWF Maple Leaf Wrestling) from August 1984 until January 1985.
