On this day in 2001, Paul Heyman’s Extreme Championship Wrestling promotion hosted its last event ever, before it closing its doors and was sold to Vince McMahon.
While a lot of big names had already left ECW for WWF or WCW at that point in time, they still had a few ECW Veterans on the card that night, like The Sandman & Tommy Dreamer.

On this day in Pro Wrestling history on January 13, 1993, Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling aired ‘WCW Clash Of The Champions 22’ LIVE on TBS from the Milwaukee Theatre in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
This was the last ‘Clash of the Champions’ event for famous announcer “J.R.” Jim Ross, before he signed with the World Wrestling Federation.

On this day in Pro Wrestling history on January 13, 1989, the World Wrestling Federation held a televised house show at the Boston Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.
The live event was televised on the local NESN Network with Rod Trongard, Superstar Billy Graham & Lord Alfred Hayes on commentary.
