On This Day In Wrestling History – March 11, 2009

On this day in wrestling history in 2009, former WWF Intercontinental Champion Ken Shamrock was fined $2,500 by the California State Athletic Commission after testing positive for 3 different types of steroids – Norandrosterone, Noretiocholanolone & Stanozolol.

He was tested positive after a 2/13 win in California over Ross Clifton. Due to this, he also faced a 1 year suspension. This was Shamrock’s first win in like 4 years or so.

There were plans for a Ken Shamrock vs. Bobby Lashley MMA fight, but those were cancelled due to Shamrock’s suspension.
