1. Corsica Joe – 2010

On This Day In Wrestling History in 2010, NWA Hall of Famer and multiple time tag team champion in the NWA territories, Corsica Joe, passed away at the age of 90.

He also found success as a singles competitor in the Texas Territory as he captured the NWA Texas Heavyweight Championship in 1959.

Modern wrestling fans may remember him as one of the ‘Legends Parade’ on the 1st TNA weekly PPV event.

Joe’s pro-wrestling career spanned for 24 years from 1948 to 1972. He was inducted into the NWA Hall of Fame in 2008.
