• Old School WWF Tag Team Veteran Celebrates His Birthday
Old School WWF Tag Team Veteran Beau Beverly (Real name: Wayne Bloom) celebrates his birthday today.
Wayne Bloom spent most of his professional wrestling career teaming with his close personal friend Mike Enos, first as “The Destruction Crew” for Verne Gagne’s American Wrestling Association (88-91), later as “Minnesota Wrecking Crew 2” for Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling (1990) and then they finally joined the World Wrestling Federation in 1991 as “The Beverly Brothers”.
They were managed by The Genius (Lanny Poffo) for a while, but eventually left the promotion in 1993, then again teamed for a few matches in 1997 & 1998 on WCW TV.

• On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (March 22, 2009) – Old School WWF Veteran Passed Away
On this day in 2009, we lost Old School WWF Tag Team Veteran Steven Dunn (Real name: Steve Doll) at the age of 48 due to a blood clot, that reached his heart.
If you were watching World Wrestling Federation TV in 1993-1995, you will remember him as one half of the mid-card Tag Team ‘Well Dunn’ with his Tag Team partner Timothy Well (Rex King).
They were managed by Harvey Wippleman and feuded with The Bushwhackers for most of their WWF career.
Steven Dunn was also an entrant in the 1995 Royal Rumble match, just like his Tag Team partner Timothy Well.

• Old School WCW Veteran Celebrates His Birthday
Old School WCW Veteran Villano V (Real name: Ray Mendoza Jr.) celebrates his birthday today.
The Lucha Libre Superstar wrestled for various Mexican promotions since his debut in 1976, including Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA), Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) and Universal Wrestling Association (UWA).
From 1996 till 2000 Villano V also worked for Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling as one of the many luchadors they had under contract during the famous days of the ‘Monday Night War’.
In 2009 he had to unmask after losing a ‘Mask vs. Mask’ match in Mexico and from that point forward wrestled under his real name.

• Old School WWF Celebrity Celebrates His Birthday
Old School World Wrestling Federation Celebrity William Shatner celebrates his birthday today.
Shattner became a world famous actor while playing the role of cultural icon Captain James T. Kirk in the original Start Trek series from 1966 to 1969 and again for the Star Trek movies from 1979 till 1994.
In 1995 he confronted Jerry “The King” Lawler on multiple episodes of WWF Monday Night RAW, but eventually inducted Lawler into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007.
William himself was inducted into the Celebrity Wing of the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021, but the ceremony took place without a crowd due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
