Old School WCW Veteran “Jungle” Jim Steele celebrates his birthday today.
After being trained in the famous WCW Power Plant wrestling school, Jim Steele had his debut for Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling in 1993 and worked for the promotion until 1994, though without any notable success.
He had a short stint in Paul Heyman’s Extreme Championship Wrestling during 1995, but then went to Japan and later Puerto Rico, where he retired in 2008.

• Old School WWF Legend Would Have Celebrated His Birthday
Today would have been the birthday of Old School WWF Legend Mr. Fuji (Real name: Harry Fujiwara).
With his Tag Partners Toru Tanaka and later Mr. Saito, Mr. Fuji won a total of 5 WWWF/WWF World Tag Team championships.
After Fuji’s active in-ring career came to an end around 1985, he became a successful manager, managing famous Superstars like Don Muraco, Yokozuna, Demolition, The Powers of Pain, The Berzerker, The Orient Express, Killer Khan and Crush.
In 2007 he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame by his close personal friend “The Magnificent” Don Muraco.

• Old School WWF Diva Celebrates Her Birthday
Old School WWF Diva Ryan Shamrock (Real name: Alicia Webb) celebrates her birthday today.
Webb was brought into the World Wrestling Federation in January 1999 to portray Ryan Shamrock, the kayfabe sister of “The World’s Most Dangerous Man” Ken Shamrock.
The funny thing about that was, that in real life the two were actually dating at that time.
Ryan Shamrock was involved in storylines with Billy Gunn and Val Venis, before forming PMS, The Pretty Mean Sisters, alongside Jacqueline & Terri Runnels, before Ryan was released in July 1999.
Alicia Webb then joined Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling in late 1999 as Symphony, the valet of The Maestro, but just like her WWF run, her run in WCW also lasted only a few months, before she was released again.

• Old School WCW Veteran Celebrates His Birthday
Old School WCW Veteran Scott Armstrong (Real Name: Joseph Scott James Jr.) celebrates his birthday today.
Scott Armstrong mainly wrestled for Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling (1990, 1994-2000) and Smoky Mountain Wrestling (1991-1995) before turning into a full-time professional referee in 2001 and only occasionally continued to wrestle.
Scott, who is the son of NWA Legend “Bullet” Bob Armstrong and the brother of Brian Armstrong (aka The Road Dogg Jesse James), Steve Armstrong (aka Lance Cassidy) & Brad Armstrong, then worked as an official WWE referee on RAW & SmackDown from 2006 until he was released in 2022.
