• ON THIS DAY IN PRO WRESTLING HISTORY (May 7, 2000) – WCW SLAMBOREE 2000

On this day in Pro Wrestling history on May 7, 2000, Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling aired their annual ‘WCW Slamboree’ event LIVE on PPV from the Kemper Arena in Kansas City, Missouri.

This was the 8th and final Slamboree pay-per-view out of 8 that WCW aired between 1993 and 2000.

Famous Hollywood actor David Arquette main evented this pay-per-view event as the reigning and defending WCW World Heavyweight Champion.

WCW Hardcore Championship: Terry Funk (c) defeated Norman Smiley & Ralphus
