Below are a couple of top AEW & WWE news stories of the day.
• AEW Rampage might be facing cancellation as All Elite Wrestling’s partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery evolves. Rumors suggest Tony Khan’s strong relationship with the network has led to significant changes, including the potential replacement of Rampage with a new show, possibly called AEW Shockwave.
AEW has already shifted its focus to Warner Bros. Discovery platforms, previously canceling AEW Dark & Dark: Elevation on YouTube. Now, reports indicate Shockwave could air on a major broadcast network like FOX.
According to The Wrestling Observer, AEW is pitching this new package to networks such as ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, and others:
“One source indicated this past week that AEW Rampage would not be continued and that AEW’s new third show, likely called Shockwave, would be the show being shopped around to FOX and possibly others.”
John Ourand of Puck News also noted that AEW is actively pitching Shockwave to several major networks.

• Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga of The Bloodline won the WWE Tag Team Championship recently. However, Solo Sikoa ordered Jacob to give the Title to Tonga Loa.
Someone started a rumor that Jacob wasn’t happy about this booking decision and shouted at WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H backstage.
Rikishi addressed this rumor about his nephew on his podcast:
“We’re going to crush that rumor, right now. Jacob would never, ever, ever disrespect Triple H, period. Nor would he disrespect me, anybody older in our family, or even his own cousins. Or even the workers there. That’s not in that kid’s bones.
Now, if you cross that kid, it’s a whole new different story.”
