• Original Money In The Bank 2019 Opponent For Kofi Kingston

As seen on this week’s episode of SmackDown, Kevin Owens turned on The New Day and attacked WWE Champion Kofi Kingston.

Kofi Kingston vs. Kevin Owens for the WWE Championship is now scheduled to happen at Money In The Bank 2019 PPV.

However, that wasn’t the original plan for Kofi. The original plan for Money In The Bank 2019 was for Daniel Bryan to get his rematch for the WWE Championship against Kofi (even though Champions aren’t getting automatic rematches nowadays).

Bryan is out of action with an injury and this led to WWE turning Owens heel and going ahead with Kofi vs. Owens.
