• Original Plan For Finn Balor’s WWE Return

As we all know, former Universal Champion Finn Balor returned from hiatus a month ago and is now a part of NXT.

However, that wasn’t the original plan.

According to the Wrestling Observer, Balor was originally scheduled to be a part of SmackDown after his return:

“When he lost to [Bray] Wyatt badly [at SummerSlam], the idea was he’d go on his sabbatical and switch to SmackDown on his return, but then when the ratings ended up going the way they did, he was moved to NXT with the idea that his star power could make more of a difference there.”
