• Original Plan For Gauntlet Match On RAW Revealed

As seen on this week’s episode of RAW, Ricochet defeated Andrade in the finals of the Gauntlet match to earn a United States Title match against AJ Styles at SummerSlam 2019.

According to Fightful, the original plan was for Ricochet to battle Rey Mysterio in the finals of the Gauntlet match, but the end result would’ve been the same – Ricochet picking up the win.

According to Fightful, this week’s episode of SmackDown Live was a mess backstage:

“I was told this week’s SmackDown was one of the messiest creative situations in recent memory with a couple of re-writes and constant miscommunication between WWE and their social media department.

Ryan Ward, who is the lead writer, was effectively reduced to a typist.”
