Below are some top news stories of the day, involving WrestleMania and Saraya.

• During an interview on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Alberto Del Rio’s former on-screen manager Ricardo Rodriguez revealed that Dolph Ziggler was originally scheduled to cash-in his Money In The Bank contract on Del Rio at WrestleMania 29.

This would’ve been the first-ever Money In The Bank cash-in at WrestleMania. However, plans got changed and Ziggler cashed-in on RAW after WrestleMania 29 and won the World Heavyweight Championship.

Rodriguez explained why Ziggler cashing-in on RAW was the better decision:

“To me that’s still the top one. That’s incredible. Just because I know originally there was a plan to do it the night of WrestleMania that was originally planned, and then they ended up switching it to the next day.

In retrospect, I’m glad they did, just because I think it was a little unexpected. And what was great about it too was when they were going over the match they have that false finish where I think Dolph hit the Fameasser, and they go one, two, kick out, whatever.

And then Alberto counters it. He does an enziguri and then I think he finally hits the arm bar. Then, because Dolph has been screwed so many times you can just hear everybody bite on it, that was so beautiful.

So when he finally hit the Zig Zag, and then the three happened, the eruption of that arena was so incredible. And it was something that I think everybody in unison was very happy for Dolph.”

According to Fightful Select, Saraya is doing well and focusing on other projects during her time away from TV.

While it’s unclear when she will return, she hinted at bringing a fresh version of herself to AEW TV.

This tease came in response to a video of her appearance on the red carpet at the 11th annual Reality Television Awards. You can watch it below:

Here’s what she wrote:

“Wait until this version makes her way back to Dynamite.”
