• Originally Pitched Idea For Alexa Bliss At WrestleMania 41

Alexa Bliss hasn’t done much since returning after a two-year hiatus at Royal Rumble 2025, but there was a pitch for her at WrestleMania 41: to work with Chelsea Green.

Women’s United States Champion Chelsea Green wasn’t originally planned to appear at WrestleMania 41 as of earlier this week, but internal discussions within WWE included several creative pitches involving her.

According to Fightful Select, multiple individuals involved in the creative process revealed that while Green hadn’t been locked into the WrestleMania 41 lineup, her name came up in a number of ideas. Previously, Fightful reported that a pitch had been made for Green to serve as the Host of the show. Her ongoing storyline with Zelina Vega was also part of the conversation.

One WWE source told Fightful, “There were numerous ideas pitched for United States Open Challenges. Among the names thrown out were Alexa Bliss and Nikki Bella.”

So far, there’s been no indication that plans have changed for Green’s involvement, but the door remains open. As one source noted to Fightful, “There is a possibility things could get added to WrestleMania as the format is finalized and things adjust.”

• Big Return Could Take Place In The Post-WrestleMania 41 Week

According to WrestleVotes, Rusev has officially signed a new contract with WWE. Big E confirmed this news as well.

The report indicates that the former United States Champion will return under his original WWE ring name, rather than “Miro,” the name he used during his tenure in AEW.

Rusev, whose real name is Miroslav Barnyashev, was released by WWE in April 2020 and subsequently joined All Elite Wrestling in September of the same year. During his time in AEW, he achieved success by capturing the TNT Championship and adopting the persona of “The Redeemer.” He departed AEW in February 2025.

WrestleVotes noted that Rusev’s return is being fast-tracked, with possibilities ranging from a return at WrestleMania to the RAW after WrestleMania, or even a SmackDown episode shortly thereafter.
