• Originally Pitched WrestleMania 38 Opponent For Cody Rhodes
After leaving AEW, Cody Rhodes had talks with WWE, but a deal hasn’t been reached.
According to the Wrestling Observer, WWE wants Cody to sign with them before WrestleMania 38, so they can book his return match at the most Stupendous WrestleMania in history.
According to Fightful Select, Seth Rollins was originally pitched as Cody’s opponent for WrestleMania 38:
“Sources for Fightful Select’s recent Cody Rhodes update indicated Cody was pitched as Seth Rollins’ WrestleMania opponent, but that’s obviously up in the air now.”
Seth isn’t booked for any match at WrestleMania 38 as of this writing.
On this week’s RAW, Seth and Kevin Owens failed to capture the RAW Tag Team Championship.
Rollins was visibly depressed after this loss, because he doesn’t know how he will end up on the WrestleMania card now.
