Originally Planned SummerSlam 2017 Match Shifted To WrestleMania 34?

As we noted before, there were plans for Shane McMahon to face the former United States Champion Kevin Owens at SummerSlam 2017. However, that isn’t going to happen anymore as Owens will face AJ Styles in a United States Title rematch with Shane McMahon as the Special Guest Referee at SummerSlam 2017.

However, that doesn’t mean that the plan for Shane O’Mac to take on Owens has been dropped altogether. Shane being the referee of this Title match is expected to lead to Owens somehow losing to Styles again due to a possible mistake or distraction by Shane. The Shane-Owens feud is then expected to build for months and their feud would then culminate in a match at WrestleMania 34.

Edge Comments On Funny Moment With The Great Khali At Battleground 2017

During a recent edition of E&C’s Pod of Awesomeness, Edge commented on a funny moment from Battleground 2017 where The Great Khali posed with the WWE Championship. Below is what the “Rated-R Superstar” said:

“My favorite part of the entire thing was Khali grabbing the heavyweight title away from Jinder and holding it up so he would get that photo-op in the Indian newspapers the next day. ‘Great Khali’s Champion!’ or something. You know that’s what’s going through his mind. He grabbed it and you could see Jinder going like, ‘What…what are you doing, man? You’re taking my belt? What?’ And they had a little tug of war over the thing. I was losing it. I was like, ‘Khali, you bastard! You’re still that way! Okay! Yup!’ Then he handed it back to Jinder, which was nice of him. That was my favorite part.”
