11. Big Update On Top WWE Star Getting His PPV Win Back This Week On Raw
As seen during the ending moments of last week’s Raw, Raw General Manager Kurt Angle announced two main events for this week’s Raw and one of them is “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns vs. “The Kingslayer” Seth Rollins. Below is what WWE posted regarding this:
Roman Reigns faces his former Shield “brother”
Even though they might find themselves facing common enemies from time to time, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins are hardly friends. That should come as no surprise to anyone familiar with their checkered past — namely The Kingslayer’s dismantling of The Shield back in 2014 — or to anyone who witnessed last Monday night’s main event, where a miscommunication between the one-time Hounds of Justice resulted in a loss to the formidable team of Bray Wyatt & Samoa Joe.
Reigns and Rollins will face each other in the Extreme Rules Fatal 5-Way Match next Sunday, but first, they’ll battle one-on-one on Raw. Will the former friends finally settle their differences, or might their longstanding rivalry reignite just six nights before WWE Extreme Rules?
Reigns is expected to win this match as WWE officials are planning to make Reigns even with Rollins (as Rollins defeated him at Money In The Bank 2016 PPV). The same thing was done with Reigns defeating Balor on Raw a couple of weeks back.
Also, WWE officials are building up Reigns for a clash with Brock Lesnar in the main event of WrestleMania 34 and one of the important points heading into that feud will be that Reigns will have accomplished everything & everyone on Raw by then, except the Universal Title.
