Ricky Starks has been a prominent figure since joining AEW in 2020, but he’s been missing from television since late March. Many fans are eager to see him join WWE, and it seems WWE is also interested in bringing him on board.

During the March 30th episode of Collision, Starks appeared to suffer an injury during a tag team title tournament match where he and Big Bill competed against Top Flight. This match marked his last appearance on AEW TV, and he has been absent since, with no clear reason provided.

PWInsider is reporting that WWE is eyeing several AEW stars, including Ricky Starks. Multiple WWE sources have indicated that there is “certainly interest” in several AEW talents, especially those whose contracts are close to expiring or who have been off television for some time.

Starks has clarified that he was not injured and doesn’t know why AEW has kept him off TV. AEW President Tony Khan has expressed interest in bringing Starks back.

Fightful previously reported that the only idea Starks rejected in recent months was a plan to break up with Big Bill and start a feud. Starks opposed it because he felt that Big Bill losing to him wouldn’t be beneficial. Instead, Starks preferred a friendly split between them, if they had to part ways.

According to the Wrestling Observer, Starks is expected to join WWE once his contract with AEW expires, although the exact end date of his AEW deal is still unknown.

Below are Ricky Starks’ major accomplishments in All Elite Wrestling:

– 1x AEW World Tag Team Champion

– 1x FTW Champion

– 2023 Men’s Owen Hart Cup winner

– 2022 AEW World Championship Eliminator Tournament

– 2022 Dynamite Diamond Battle Royale

As we have reported before, Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix are also expected to join WWE.
