Below are some top AEW & WWE news stories of the day:
– Saraya (fka Paige in WWE) is unhappy with her booking in AEW, as part of The Outcasts stable, as she liked the following tweet from a fan:
“Kinda feels like The Outcasts story was a big waste of time. Obviously, there’s no controlling the (Jamie) Hayter injury but we didn’t get Blood and Guts out of it, the whole surrounding division paused and it feels like very little was accomplished broadly in the first half of the year.”
Saraya also liked a tweet which included the screenshot of a fan sign from this week’s Dynamite, which read “Book The Women’s Division Better”:
– While promoting this Sunday’s NXT: The Great American Bash premium live event on a media call, Shawn Michaels revealed that NXT’s next premium live event will be “No Mercy”, which will take place on September 30th at the Mechanics Bank Arena in Bakersfield, California.
This means that NXT is continuing the tradition of using old WWE & WCW PPV names.
WWE last held the No Mercy pay-per-view back in 2017, where Brock Lesnar vs. Braun Strowman for the Universal Championship and John Cena vs. Roman Reigns for the first time ever were the main event and co-main event respectively.
